My journey into Personal Development Coaching and Therapeutic Change Work began in 2017 when I was an Acting Headteacher and I had a panic attack on the M25.
I wanted to understand what I had experienced and why, and so I began training in clinically-proven psycho-sensory techniques for mental wellness and to learn about the mindbody connection.
Since then, I have achieved my NLP Masters, I am a Member of The Society of NLP, an Advanced Practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique, accredited with EFT International, I hold certifications in EMDR Therapy, Art Therapy, Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health, and I am a Drawing & Talking Practitioner.
It is our thoughts, actions and experiences that trigger emotions which we feel within our physical body.
My MISSION is to help others learn how to use the body's energy system to take them out of stress, let go of the past and live more fully in the present.
My VISION is for everyone to have this knowledge to navigate the stresses of the modern world while maintaining excellent mental wellness.
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the science of personal achievement and behavioural change, and it is sometimes known as 'Success Psychology'. It harnesses a highly effective methodology, advanced communication skills and a series of techniques for rapidly changing the thoughts, behaviour patterns and beliefs that limit people's potential and development.
EFT combines Chinese acupressure with modern psychology and visualisation to remove blockages in a person's energy system or 'meridians'. By gently tapping on specific points, whilst verbalising and affirming how we feel, the amygdala becomes desensitised, cortisol is lowered, issues are resolved and negative emotions released.
Havening - ‘Amygdala Depotentiation Technique’ (ADT) - created and developed by Neuroscientist, Dr Ron Ruden, is a fast and effective tool for the removal of phobias, fear, panic, stress, anxiety and other traumas. Years of research show how this process creates a powerful biological change in the brain and is powerful at a neurochemical level.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of physical and emotional trauma. Scientific research has established EMDR as effective for post traumatic stress, panic attacks, grief, disturbing memories, phobias and performance anxiety.
Drawing and Talking allows individuals to discover and communicate emotions through a non-directed technique, setting it apart from other solution-focused and cognitive-based therapies and interventions.
After completion of Drawing and Talking therapy, children are more able to control their behaviour, better able to access an academic curriculum and, most importantly, have higher self-esteem.
Art therapy is a therapeutic tool whereby a person is guided to use creativity and art to interpret, express, and resolve specific emotions and thoughts.
Art therapy can be use to explore emotions, understand feelings or work through conflicts that are causing distress, and help an individual to find resolutions to those issues.
